Some more envelopes for #100daysofenvelopes #100dayproject2024 #100dayproject I missed a few days this week, but I don’t feel guilty. I also missed a few days of learning Russian on Duolingo and broke my streak.
Yesterday, I visited the NPG and felt very inspired. For my #100daysofenvelopes I decided to copy some portraits from Pinterest. It would be a test of my drawing ability and your art history knowledge to identify the originals. My more impressionistic style is partly because I’m trying to be looser, but also because I need new glasses!
I treated myself to a gorgeous sketchbook from Pith – the paper is thick, and sturdy enough to take watercolour or ink washes; it opens flat and it comes in lots of cool colours.
So far I have only done a few quick sketches of trees in my local park, but perhaps I’ll travel further than my current one mile radius at some point.

If you read about the UN plans for for future cities, you’ll see that it’s how they envision us all living under net zero – with everything you need within 15 minutes walk of your home.
Words cannot express how much I loathe face masks, but I decided to make something positive out of something I hate. It’s vaguely based on a Titian painting. He lived during the time of proper plagues and possibly died from it.
